Does anyone know whether copied/flagged reviews factor into the Early Reviewers algorithm?
As I understand it, having more reviews may increase your likelihood of getting an ER book. Does that mean someone with 300 plagiarized reviews stands a greater chance of receiving a book than someone with a dozen reviews they've written themselves? Does flagging those entries as abuse factor into the running?
Just some idle curiosities that crept into my dreaming brain last night (must lay off the LT before bed!)

Not true. The number of reviews per se does not influence the algorythm - merely that you have reviewed previously sent ER books. Now if those reviews were plagiarized then there might be an issue.

I see. The ER rules states that "the reviewer's reviewing history" is one of the factors. To that end, I thought that the user's entire reviewing history (including whether prior ER books have been reviewed) was taken into account.
Although it's likely idle speculation due to the mysterious ways of the algorithm, I guess my main point is that if flags were taken into account, flagging may have a more punitive role to play than simply moving impugned reviews further down the review pile (blue flags) or hiding offending reviews (red flags), at least insofar as ER hopefuls are concerned.
