Anyone up for a discussion of the EDAs?

I set out to read and re-reading every book from Interference to The Gallifrey Chronicles, currently I'm on Dave Stone's The Slow Empire - which I'm finding ironically slow going.

Is anyone else a lover of the EDAs?

I haven't read many of them yet - only as far as Vanderdeken's Children. I'm reading through the NAs for the first time and interspersing them with occasional EDAs, aiming to reach Interference immediately prior to Dead Romance.

So far I'm enjoying the EDAs overall, possibly my favourite to date has been The Bodysnatchers.

I've read VC but it was a long time ago so I can't really comment. I'm up to Henrietta Street now; trying to decide if it's my cold shortening my attention span or if it's just *really* hard going.

Once I reach Gallifrey Chronicles, I'm planning on re-visiting everything from The Taint to Autumn Mist so we might meet up sometime. *g*

The Scarlett Empress is a joy, if you haven;t got there yet.

I've enjoyed everything I've read by Paul Magrs (particularly Verdigris and Never The Bride) so I'm looking forward to The Scarlet Empress (which, given the number of books I currently need to read for various people, I'll probably get to in September)

Paul Magrs is far and away my favourite Who writer, the Blue Angel's my particular favourite but I'll take anything with Iris, really.

huh huh, Gilly's going to 'revisit the taint'.

I'm a big EDA fan - but have big chunks left unread - I tell myself I'm saving these, because the series ended - - and I don't know myself well enough to determine if this is a lie or not.

My chunks are: Blue Angel thru Space Age, and Emotional Chemistry thru The Gallifrey Chronicles.

I really miss the PDAs and hope they return in some form soon (preferably a paperback form that's under ten bucks a pop).

I own far more EDAs than I've actually read. :) Favorites so far-Camera Obscura and City of the Dead both by Lloyd Rose. I also liked Anachrophobia. I've read The Scarlet Empress but didn't care for it. Couldn't finish Vanishing Point by Stephen Cole. Too dull. Has anyone read either Unnatural History or The Year of Intelligent Tigers?

Unnatural History is very good, and tYoIT is even better. I'm a Blume/Orman fan, in large part due to tYoIT (I've read most of the EDAs out of order). I think I am in agreement with the one's you've picked as favorites (Alien Bodies is #1 in my book, though) - esp. the Lloyd Rose books.

I'm looking forward to getting to Blue Box, by K. Orman (it tempts me in its snug little space under 500 lbs of other books I also want to read right now)

Alien Bodies eh? I think I have that one. I'm having serious trouble settling down to one book these days. Why is it your favorite?
