During its two month run, earlier this year, tickets were changing hands at £200 each. This broadcast should be a rare treat. Chiwetel Ejifor (Othello) won Best Actor in the Olivier Awards and Critics Circle Award for Best Shakespearian Performance.

The broadcast should be available on the Radio 3 website for seven days after today and can be listened to at the time of broadcast on that website.

Heh! I just checked and I can access past Drama on 3 broadcasts. So I'll try and listen to it over the next few days, maybe even taping it (no idea how, but I'll figure something out! I've been known to put a mic in front of the loudspeaker if everything else fails.).
I just bought the DVD of last year's Othello at the Globe (which I saw live in June) :-).

I am listening right now! So it works for non-Brits as well (BBC sometimes cuts non-Brit IP adresses from viewing/listening). And I don't even need to refer too often to my book (in place of subtitles :-) ).

Good to hear that you were successful. I use Replay AV to record broadcasts from the computer.

Thank you, antimuzak, for the tip. I am currently recording the thing on a 180-minute VHS tape :-) (that's how I usually tape radio broadcasts). The quality is so-so on the HiFi replay, and I might give the test version of Applian a go. Also, I am waiting for the BBC stream to drop out...- or did they fix that meanwhile?
