Manually entered special edition book won't "connect" with thousands of other editions of the book

I manually entered a book title, author, ISBN, tags, as the book is a special edition. But, I typed the author's name incorrectly, apparently resulting in me being the only LT member with the book, despite there being a couple of thousand copies uploaded to the site. "Work Information" shows "Becky Chamber" as the author. Note an extra space between the names, and that the last name is singular when it should be plural, i.e., "Becky Chambers." I corrected the entry and re-saved it, but nothing changed; still "Becky Chamber" in the Work Information. I deleted the listing and re-entered everything, but "Becky Chamber" persists. What can be done to fix this? Thanks for everyone's time. Edit: The book is A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers.

A Closed and Common Orbit, by Becky Chambers
They're combined now. I used the workbench feature to do that.

>1 bookstothesky: If you run into this again, you can either ask for help in the Combiners! group or read the book combining help page and combine them yourself.

Combining takes care of the wrong author on the work, but this can also happen when yours really is the only copy. Once you have corrected your copy, the wrong information persists at work level. Down at the lower right (near the workbench) is also a link to 'Recalculate title/author'. This should clear that up. Now and again you may have to do it twice.

And from now on if someone enters the same book with the author misspelled in the same way it will automatically get combined
