A bit of history: First published in German in 1930, with vol. 4 published in 1943 by Musil's widow. The first English translation by Eithne Wilkins & Ernst Kaiser of the first three vols was published in the 1950s, and although they promised vol. 4, it never appeared, and was only included in Sophie Wilkins & Burton Pike's 1995 English translation of all four volumes.
Who thinks that, e.g., "Wilkins/Kaiser, 1", "Swedish, 1 of 3", "Hungarian, 1" and "Norwegian, 1" should be combined, and who thinks it's all fine as it is?
