What cookbooks have you been searching for?

I thought that with a group like this, it would be interesting to see what cookbooks folks have been hunting, searching, yearning for.

My present obsessive quest is for an extraordinary, but out of print, Mexican cookbook called DICCIONARIO ENCICLOPEDICO DE GASTRONOMIA MEXICANA. I have searched online and in bookstores in the U.S. and in Mexico. My only hope is that either (1) the author, Ricardo Muñoz Zuriga, does a second edition to put me out of my misery, or (2) I find it in some little obscure bookstore somewhere, sometime.

For a long, LONG time I was looking for a hardback of A Taste of India by Mary Atwood. I had the paperback, but it was falling apart. I finally found an expensive copy on Abe Books, but it was worth it. I use this book ALL the time. It has tons of delicious Indian recipes.

There are only a few copies on amazon.com and the lowest price is $135. My own copy is falling apart. This is the only book to use for Indian food, because all the recipes taste good and the author's commentary is valuable.

Right now, I badly want the cookbook of the chef of an innovative Turkish restaurant based in Istanbul. I have found it on Abebooks, but I'm not sure yet I really want to shell out 80 bucks when I could probably pick it up for 20 while in Istanbul. We'll see :) I also sent a friend on the hunt for cookbooks in Iraqi Kurdistan...what I really want is a cookbook from Iranian Kurdistan though, but as far as I know, there aren't any to this date.
