are board book versions separated from traditional versions

Almost always they are severely shortened versions of a story. But I wouldn’t make it a rule.

For instance, The Night Before Christmas has been done in its entirety in a board book.

Books are not separated based on binding style, assuming the content is the same.

For board books the art is as important as the text so I think they should be separated. It's the same reason that a movie isn't combined with the screenplay.

In most cases the board book has the same art as the other versions.
