Books not appearing in TinyCat

Hi again,

This is a bigger problem, I think. I have books that clearly show up in my librarything catalogue, but they do not come up on a search in tiny cat. Yes, they are in the correct collection that I have selected in the TinyCat settings. I was only alerted to this fact when a patron visited my library, saw certain books, then tried to go home and place them on hold - they couldn't find them within the catalogue. I was able to resolve this issue for the books she drew my attention to by deleting them from the TinyCat collection and then re-adding them.
However! I was going through my catalogue to check and there are other books this is happening to. For example, although my Lloyd Alexander books show up in LibraryThing, and are in the Fire-Berry Books Catalogue, they do not come up on a TinyCat search. Clearly this is a big problem, since prospective patrons can't actually find the books I own - so my library looks pathetic. :( Is there a way to find which books aren't showing up in TinyCat other than gong through and checking thousands of books and authors one by one? Can you do anything or see anything from behind the scenes?

Can you tell me what search term/s you're using here? I'm able to find your 7 Lloyd Alexander books and 19 Enid Blyton books searching the authors' names: https://www.librarycat.org/lib/Fire-BerryBooks/search/text/lloyd+alexander and https://www.librarycat.org/lib/Fire-BerryBooks/search/text/enid+blyton

Thanks for your help!

Ok. So I just did something and for some bizarre reason, yes, it seems to have fixed everything.
First I created a new collection, and then I went to the power edit - is that what it's called? And copied all the books from my Fire-Berry Books collection into the new Fire-BerryBooks collection, page by page. And suddenly all the books started showing up. I have no idea, AT ALL, why that would work. But it seems to have.

I had a theory - when I was setting up my library, I created the original Fire-Berry Books collection, and tried to copy all the books from "Your Library" over into the Fire-Berry collection all at once. The whole transfer froze up, and I had to cancel it, and then try to find where I thought it had stopped, and continue page by page. So maybe there was some data that got skipped, and what I just did jogged it's memory or something? I don't know. I'm so confused.

Interesting... do you remember when you ran these changes setting up your library? If they were around Sunday/Monday we were having some server issues that period so I'm wondering if there might be some lingering issues from that..

ETA, sorry I should correct myself. I think the issues were Monday/Tuesday.

It was almost a month ago, I think. Is it possible to check somehow to see when a collection was created?

Okay, if it was almost a month ago then it wouldn't be tied to last week's issues. I just needed to do a double check there. You should be in the clear, then. If you see this issue crop up again then let's investigate this, but I'm going to hope that all is clear now!
