Inactive Patrons

What is the best way to deal with inactive patrons?
At our church we have had people move away or who have not borrowed in a long time.
Should we delete their names?
How can we do a report showing inactive patrons?
Thanks.

You could delete them or leave them in there, whichever makes the most sense for you. We don't limit the number of patrons you can have in TinyCat, but if you wanted to clean up some older patrons, you could:

1. Generate a "Patron Aggregate Checkout Activity" Report from https://www.librarycat.org/admin/reports/patrons
2. Make sure to check the "Filter by date" box and enter a Start Date that you want to consider "active patrons" for - say, patrons that have checked out items in the last 2-3 years (so, a "Start Date" in 2020 or 2019, respectively).
3. Click on the "Patron Aggregate Checkout Activity" title to export a .csv report.

The report will show you patrons that have checked out items in the time range you gave (from the start date to the day you generated the report), so any patrons missing from that list would be considered "inactive". Hope this helps!
