Microsoft Edge problem.

My new laptop freezes and shows "Microsoft is unable to upload updates." once every hour. It clears when I delete the message but it is very annoying. Any suggestions?

Sorry for your computer trouble, but this sounds unrelated to LibraryThing.com, where you're posting your question. You may want to try contacting Microsoft customer service?

Posting here about LT issues has always proved very helpful to me.

Maybe. But this sounds like a MS update issue and these are notoriously hard to troubleshoot unless you are on the system (once you had gone through the standard troubleshooting guide here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/troubleshooting-tips-for-inst... ) anyway. Especially when the system error, browser version, OS version and so on are not shared - the report in >1 Jammy1: is equivalent to "something is not working on my computer" more or less. Even if someone had had similar issues, the chance of them being around and/or having the issue for the same reasons as the OP are very low.

I wish good luck to >1 Jammy1: in figuring it out but I really don't think that a question about a generic computer issue should be in LT FAQ Group :)

We should start a new group IAQ for Infrequently Asked Questions or maybe RAMLAQ for Rarely Asked Much Less Answered Questions.
