Thumb no longer goes dark to show I gave a thumbs up to a book review

Well, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I don't know where else to post it.

It used to be when I gave a thumbs up to a book review, the thumb changed to a dark color so I could see at a glance which reviews I had already read and thumbed up. Now the thumb stays the same color although the number still goes up.

If this is particular to my setup, I am using Chrome on Mac OS Monterey v12.1.

I'd assumed that was just an "enhancement" of the UI in the natural course of things. (MS-Edge v.98.0.1108.55 on Win 10 v.21H2).

What happens when you leave the page and come back to it?

This was mentioned elsewhere. I'll look for a link. It's been happening since last year, and it is annoying.

Bump. I continue to remove the thumbs up on works by accident, not knowing I've already (long ago, likely) clicked the icon.

Yep. I still have this one starred so I don't forget it. But bumping doesn't hurt.
As soon as I get some big releases out I'll be able to float back to hunt down a few bugs.

Bump. I'm increasingly hesitant to click any thumbs that already have a number beside them.

I believe this has been fixed under a different post. Please re-open if not.
