Richard's part as a manipulator are strengthened in this act. Interesting that the young prince Edward (?) could see right through him, earning Richard's contempt. I find it amusing that Richard stages praying with priests to appear to be humble and religious.
Richard is so good at deception that Hastings says, "I think there’s never a man in Christendom, can lesser hide his love or hate than he, for by his face straight shall you know his heart."
