Arukiyomi's spreadsheet v7 now available

A new spreadsheet edition is available now from my blog at https://arukiyomi.com/?page_id=4230

v7 contains changes discovered in a somewhat secretly published 2019 edition. Two books were added and two removed. Tyll and Night Boat to Tangier replace IQ84 and Cain.

For anyone who has already purchased a spreadsheet in the past, a free v7 is available for you to update. Just ping me an email via the address in the Help tab of your current spreadsheet.

>1 arukiyomi: good to know you’re still maintaining the spreadsheet. I was sad to see the update to the latest iOS version removed access to your invaluable app. Fortunately I still had it on an older version iPhone, and I’ve turned off all internet access so I can keep the app going to the bitter end!

And when will there be a version 8 of the spreadsheet with the changes made in the edition to be published Feb. 8, 2022? I assume there are no more sneak previews as you no longer have a relationship with the publisher?

v8 will come out as soon as I have access to the titles added or removed. I'm reliant on the community for that so the sooner you get me the data, the sooner I can release it. It took a year and a half for anyone to let me know an edition had been published in 2019! At least you're ahead of the game this time guys :-D

BTW, does the spreadsheet also contain Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (apparently it replaced The New World in one of the 2012 reprintings)?

Thanks for the tip-off! Am very excited to read Tyll but completely disappointed that Cain was replaced -- a book I enjoyed hugely and (unlike most on this list) was not depressing and indeed often very funny. Night Boat to Tangier on the other hand sounds extremely dark.

Very many thanks Arukiyomi. Have just emailed.

ELiz_M - I believe it will (based on stalking Arukiyomi's posts on another well-known book website: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/19477188-2018-edition----2-more-new-books-d...

I should add to this thread that back in December I followed up the 8th of Feb publication rumour mentioned in comment 3 above and it turned out to be completely false... just in case anyone was holding out any hope for that.

>11 Henrik_Madsen: I think I am the same - I was tentatively looking forward to seeing what changes would be made, but a little bit glad that I don't have to make any adjustments.
