"Search this library" bug on Chrome

To reproduce:
1. on Chrome, go to any catalog for any member, logged in or out of LibraryThing. (e.g. https://www.librarything.com/catalog/kristilabrie)
2. click on anything in the catalog that will take you to another page. For example, a title or an author such as https://www.librarything.com/author/schertlealice
3. use your browser's back button to return to the member's catalog.
4. look at the "Search your library" catalog search box.

Bug: the "Search your library" is in black text now, with the cursor at the end of the "Search your library" string, such that if you click inside the box the text does not gray out for you so you can enter real text. If you hit enter without entering any of your own text, it will produce a real search for "Search your library".

NB: happening on the dev site as well.

Was able to reproduce this by going to Kristi's catalog and clicking the author on the first item (Rinker, Sherri Duskey) and then hitting back, but it does not appear to always happen in exactly the same way, so you may have to click a few and keep hitting back. And if you click on the search field it seems to clear it, so you have to just click the search button right away. But you can see that the text is black when this happens.

I'm going to close this one as it is going to be obsoleted by the rework of the catalog page in a month or two.
