Hello.
On this novel the genre wasn’t straightforward: there are some elements of Drama, Suspense, and Romance about a teenager girl who pretends that live with her father (or both parents) but actually lives alone. She has no family alive and she pretends to avoid take into social services.
I’ve read this book around 1990. I believe it’s publication date was in the seventies. I think the author is female. Pretty sure is American, maybe British. There is some erotic element in the story. The story is set in present times (1970’s 1980s). The girl flirts (or have a romance maybe?) with an older man. Not quite sure is if there also something about vampires. It was a very strange book to read when I was a teenager myself. Thanks.

Could it be "The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane"? This reminded me a lot of it, and there's a movie too.

MaryBanary MissSquish That's the book, thank you so much! Funny fact: in Spanish (my native language) the book has at least two different titles: "La niña del caserón abandonado" or "La niña de las tinieblas" both of them has nothing to do with the original English title! Cheers.
