A simple challenge for this month.
Let's read a book published in the first half of the twentieth century, 1901-1950.

For those of you with the app, 1901-1950 covers books 266 through to 576.
From my upcoming TBR pile I’ll select Don Dos Passos’ Manhattan Transfer for this challenge. Published 1925 so bang in the middle of the range.

>2 puckers: Thank you for adding the book numbers. I don't use the app as I have the physical book, which luckily is in order of publication date also!
I had only heard of the band Manhattan Transfer. Google tells me they did name themselves after this novel. Look forward to hearing what the book is like.

>3 JayneCM: Ah Yes. “Chanson d’amour”. That takes me (a long way) back.

I have chosen The Living and the Dead by Patrick White, published in 1941.

I am not sure if I will be able to fit this into my next month's reading as I already have quite a list that I have committed to, but if I can, I will read Under Fire by Henri Barbusse, originally published in 1916.

I like this challenge because it allows me to read something off my shelf. My goal this year is to read 50 books off my shelf and as I am only at #24 I have to pick up the pace.
I will be reading MIDAQ ALLEY by Naguib Mahfouz.

I am enjoying Midaq Alley but still finishing up with it.
