No author or title contemporary romance!

I read this awhile ago, it is not new and was a used paperback on the shelf of a beach house but I have not been able to get it out of my head. Contemporary romance. She had been sleeping with a guy but they broke it off. She finds out she’s pregnant and needs to tell him. I think he’s an author? He’s at his vacation home finishing his new book and she rents the house next to him (no one knows where his house is and I forget if she got it from his publisher or if she works in publishing and got it?) but he sees her and she doesn’t tell him right away and they’re super flirty and I think she has a dog? And it runs under her legs and she falls off the deck and he sees and runs over and she’s like “the baby” and he’s like whaaaaaaat
