Home Page Recent News Not Always in Descending Chronological Order

In the last couple of days, I have noticed that sometimes new entries in my Recent News are listed below the top (i.e. 'newest') entries. This either means that there is now a delay in posting some works to Recent News or the date/time stamp is incorrect for some works.

Windows 10, Firefox 90.0.2

I'm a little confused by your use of "new"/"newest", since the newest entries should always be at the top for descending chronological order, but I gather you mean that you're finding brand new items not being sorted at the top of the list, as you'd expect, right?

Can you give me a couple of examples, so I can take a closer look?

The most recent occurrence was yesterday when www.librarything.com/work/175747 entered by member GRLagow was supposedly the most recent addition but then I see www.librarything.com/work/4733797 entered by member ira1229 several lines below it which was not there 15 minutes earlier.

Update at 12:05 PM CST: Member crmc just entered nine works and these started as the thirteenth entry in Recent News rather than as the first. Member Adakian also just added a work and it is listed in the midst of member crmc's new works.

Update at 12:27 PM CST: Member superdubey just added three works. Work www.librarything.com/work/5184971/203512697 is shown at the top of the list as it should be but works www.librarything.com/work/8793454/203512988 and www.librarything.com/work/12252639/203512960 are not.

Update at 3:53 PM CST: Member docjohnb entered nine works and they appear on Recent News after the fourteenth work there.

Issue seems to have resolved itself.
