MARC Export Not Working

Good evening,

I am attempting to export my records into the MARC format, and for some reason all the records that are being exported are not being exported correctly / or at all. For example, I have over 1000 records, but when I imported my MARC records into my new ILS, it says it can only fine 100 to import from that file.
Further, I inspect the files in MarcEdit and many errors are produced and the file is showing some very odd characters.

I have tried many export options, and sadly nothing is changing.

Help please!

Looking at your library with the source field turned on, it looks like you used Amazon as the source of the book data when you added them for a lot of your books, so those books probably don't have library MARC records.

>2 Aquila: We can generate MARC records, regardless of how you cataloged your books, once they're in LibraryThing.

>1 Jerhende: I'll take a closer look at this soon! Thanks for your report.

Okay, I'm digging into this now.

>1 Jerhende: Can you tell me what option/s you're exporting as MARC?

1. "Create LibraryThing "basic" records (generates MARC record using only data from LibraryThing)" OR

2. "Use existing library records, when available." IF 2, are you checking:
A. "Fuzzy matching (finds the “best” matching library record based on title, publication, etc.)" AND/OR
B. "Integrate your catalog changes into library records (supplement your data with data from library records)"?

Closing because we never got details. Please reopen, OP, if you return!
