Looking for a book from the late 90's early 2000's.

I am looking for a book I read in high school. It was about a lawyer who has to get a heart transplant and then ends up having dreams from the donor, gets involved with a mystery surrounding the Russian mob. She starts acting like him, i.e. drinking vodka or speaking Russian. It is romantic suspense.
