flying ships dragons and everything is powered by elemental animals

so i read this book a long time ago(me being young more like 2-3 years ago)

there are two main characters a boy and girl (i think they might be brother and sister twins) the sister is able to talk with her mind to animals and the brother is able to sense animals and their feelings. they are on this ship at the start( something about being sold from their country) they are asked to mutiny and they agree. the boy ends up having visions of a dragon i think. the sister gets something golden(it has the power to call some mythical creature to help them but i hates people i think). the world is consistently attacked by demon like creatures.
