The first book in the series is about a human who works at a diner and serves her mate and his friends/sister. The mating process is now started by sight but he erases her memory. He leaves her alone, but she is now getting sicker and sicker, his erasing of her memory of the two of them meeting is only making it worse. Her boss offers her vacation at her cabin to get better. He and his family all go to save her when she is on the brink of dying due to being rejected/away from her mate, and sends a mating call out to him. The notice on the way that it is storming outside and the storm is getting worse as they get closer to where she is residing. She now has to live in their shifter community/compound and be near him and take blood with his DNA in it to survive. He keep rejecting her even more at the compound and is with his girlfriend. She eventually moves in with his shifter cousin (who is a bear I believe?) and he gets jealous. Eventually they all make up.
