What will remain when combined?

I just entered a DVD which I consider accurately catalogued, based on Imdb listing. https://www.librarything.com/work/26354950/book/198704335
There are 2 other copies with mangled cataloging.
No title by Tim Jacobson George Howe, Rob Nelson, Jonas Stenstrm https://www.librarything.com/work/24232967
Decoding the Driftless by howegeorgejacobsonti
https://www.librarything.com/work/24232966
I would like to combine these using workbench, but I don't see a way to tell it which is the correct entry. In the past, it appeared to me that workbench puts a single item into the listing with multiple entries/users. Since each of these only has 1 user, I don't want to combine until I am sure it will end up OK.

There really is no way to tell the system which is the primary record. But all your entered data won't change. It will always be what you entered. The work might pick something else, but your entry will stay the same.

You can make minor corrections on the work page once they are combined, but using the Other Authors section and the Common Knowledge section. But remember that those changes will impact the work and the entire site, not just one copy.

>1 juniperSun:

I have gone ahead and combined the mangled work and your catalogued work. As you feared it might, the system did choose /26354950 with its mangled author "georgehowetimjacobso". So after combining I've edited the primary author of the work to be Jonas Stenstrom (Director) to correct it.

>1 juniperSun: If you're logged in you should always see your data anyway, it should appear correct from your point of view I think.
