Search of my books - results not up to date

I'm hoping to get some help with an issue where an advanced search within my books is returning outdated results.

I saved the URL for a search I want to be able to do regularly:

The results looked right. Then I did a bunch of cleaning up my tags and reorganizing and now the search results are still stuck on the old results. The tag that changed the most is called !tbr. The issue is that many of the books I've recently tagged !tbr don't show up in the results of this search, and many results that show up are books that I've removed the !tbr tag from. When I go to the tags page and click on the !tbr tag, those results are correct, but I'd really like be able to look at the results of this advanced search rather than just one tag at a time.

I had read on the LT forums that you might need to wait for your search index to be updated, but it's been at least a week or two since I did my tag reorganization and the results of this search are still stuck on the old state of my tags.

Quick question for the record: when did you do your most recent tag cleanup, where the changes aren't being reflected in the catalog search?

I'm still interested in knowing when the tag changes were made that were not being reflected in the catalog search, but I have at least reindexed your library and believe I have fixed the search results for you now. Let me know if you're seeing any further or persistent issues!

Hello, I have the same search problem. If I enter the Czech word "Beletrie", or Asie, Oceán, etc. (all tags), these tags are not searchable for me. I have been working on brands since March 29, 2021. Thank you jan-pavlicek

The search in the mobile application is already OK, there are still problems on the www.

For example: I created and added Tags "Beletrie. Fantasy", "Beletrie. Legendy. Pověsti" etc. The intention was clarity in the list of Tags (Fiction/Beletrie with myself, History of the Czech Republic/Dějiny Česka with myself, etc.)

Now I enter eg "Legendy" and it will find me only 2 results, but the tag "Beletrie. Pověsti. Legendy" is assigned to 4 books. Or: "České knížectví" finds only 4 results, tag "Dějiny Česka. 0895-1198. České knížectví" is assigned to 12 books.

I found out: when I enter, for example, a search Tag Historické vědy. Historie, it will find me some results. If I only enter Historické vědy, it won't find anything for me. The Beletrie tag won't find me at all. I'm also ready to rewrite Tags if they make trouble problems. Thanks

There may be some search syntax issues here with the structure of your tags, but this issue is generally complicated with the indexing issues we're currently experiencing. I'll need to pass this to the developers to take a closer look, thanks for your patience in the meantime.

Report for devs:

1. I searched for "Beletrie*" in jan-pavlicek's account and found 169 results. But, looking at her Tags page (and opening them all up to see the # of search results in each one), I found 234 Tags that all started with "Beletrie".

That's a difference of 65 missing Tags in the catalog search. Browsing through the Tags, I counted 24 books added today, 4/6, which were not getting indexed in the "Beletrie*" search.

2. ccatalfo reindexed the catalog, and I re-ran the "Beletrie*" catalog search. I'm now finding 193 results, which includes the 24 missing books newly added on 4/6.

We're still missing 41 other Tags starting with "Beletrie". It appears the reindex captured newly added records, but perhaps not newly added Tags to existing records. That's the hypothesis, at least.

Thanks for your interest. So far, I'm just adding books to the catalog, which will only be used for my needs. So it's not in a hurry yet :-)

I added today: Beletrie. Aforismus; Beletrie. Román; Korejská válka. 1950-1953; Lékařské vědy. Sexualita; Asie. Jižní Korea (stát). All new tags. I guess I didn't add anything yesterday.

If I enter Beletrie, it won't find anything; if I enter Beletrie*, it will find something; if I enter Aforismus, it will find. Maybe there's a problem with my search method :-)

My hypothesis: when searching for the highest level (Beletrie or Asie or Dějiny Česka or ...), I have to enter *

If the conditions above are met, the search is OK!

Okay, but I'm running a search for "Beletrie*" in your catalog and only finding 192 records. When I look at your Tags page from your catalog (the drop-down menu to the right of your "List | Covers" toggle), I'm tallying 233 records that have tags starting with "Beletrie". So there still seems to be some discrepancies, no?

I admit :-) In my layman's view, there is probably a problem in indexing.

Okay, I just want to make sure that your data is what you expect - if there are Tags that exist in your catalog that you deleted, for example, would be something to investigate. If all looks okay as far as your data is concerned, then I believe there are still some indexing issues we need to solve. Thanks for your help!
