Lots of books here that I like and many that I need to discover. It's good that they have Brad Snyder's A Well-Paid Slave about Curt Flood, but they might have also included Flood's own account, The Way It Is.
Flood's book was written in the heat of the moment but still holds up pretty well, and in addition to recounting his personal case it has plenty of insights and anecdotes about how the game was played in Flood's era.

The Flood touchstone doesn't seem to be working. It is in the LT collection, though, and can be reached at this link: https://www.librarything.com/work/1474909
