A really interesting essay by Ignacio M. Sánchez Prado , a Mexican literary scholar.
He has so many citations I jotted down, mentions Piglia among many more. It is a fascinating look at the unique perspective latin American literature holds.
He also mentions Aurbach’s Mimesis which I just read about in a book by Daniel Mendelsohn, three Rings – a book you might enjoy. He also gives a shout out to Dubravka Ugresic whose FOX I absolutely loved.
Enjoy.
