Getting APIs explained

HI, I'm coming to ask here since I get lost in site APIs docs. I've tried to browse all related pages but not able to find out what are the endpoints and what is the protocol. What I need is to have request endpoints and payloads for

- searching a book in the database by author/title
- getting full details about a work/book by providing it's LibraryThing ID

The only APIs I found in the wiki are about getting specific user profile ( https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/LibraryThing_JSON_Books_API ), which is not exactly what I need

The APIs are currently unavailable while they revamp the entire site, so any documentation will (a) not be useful right now and (b) probably be out of date when they do turn them back on.

Are the APIs still disabled? I know that the redesign is still in process, but I was just aiming to get updated about the availability of the API. Thanks!

They are still disabled. Small team, lots of work. I'd love to give you a timeline but there just isn't one right now and I'd be lying to you.

Thanks. I can appreciate the work load & appreciate all that everyone does to keep the site going!
