Another member expressed an interest in how the Club sent the books out to members. A relative of my wife's had several years of LEC books in storage, still unopened, which his widow was selling. It was quite a brain-teaser trying to discover what was in the packages as there was no indication of the title on the outside of the packaging, so I was trying to deduce by the date on the postage label what it might be. Due to delays in production, that did not always provide the answer so most had to be opened. The brick-closed wrapping paper was extremely sturdy and the books in their slipcases were enclosed in triple chemises of cardboard, so even after being in storage for 50+ years, the books themselves were pristine:

I bought one of >1 Django6924: relative's still boxed books. Robert did open my box up to determine the contents but did a wonderful job of putting it all back together so I could experience the joy of receiving and opening an LEC like it was done in the old days. The Matryoshka boxes where quite a trip. Mind you, this copy of Prometheus Bound & Prometheus Unbound was still clothed in discolored glassine.

I bought my copy of the LEC Isaiah that was still in its triple box, no outer wrapper, though. Definitely well protected from the vagaries of the USPS.
