Speaking of sound "cognitive function," where's the evidence in favor of Trump's critics possessing much in that?

With no suggestion that we're going to review the full gamut of their absurd talking-points, let's look at just a couple of the most recent examples of anti-Trump idiocy and, in the process, remember: these are people who've made a crusade of calling Trump's mental capacity into question.((*) See, once more, below)

Well, who could object to a bland name "The Washington Football Team"? I answer: the same people who'd pull down memorials to U.S. president George Washington for no other reason than that they suppose that George Washington's having held Negroes as slaves means that many today are offended by the use of that name, it would seem to me.

In the name "The Washington Redskins", the offending part is found in the "Redskins" and in the "Washington." The rest of the name is acceptable.

Therefore, the team may refer to itself, after the fashion of ®, a.k.a. "the artist," as "The Football Team®" or even some symbol. But not anything resembling this one: .

These two names ®, a.k.a. "the artist," at least had the virtue of having been chosen by the person using them, rather than having been imposed at the demand of a mob of malcontents.

As for the Redskins' critics, theirs is the stuff of a juvenile's vanity and primping; many people can actually see that, it's just that they're not the people who are chanting for Trump's removal.

Trump's critics' idea of his latest morally-outrageous deed?

So, it must have been that Trump lured angry mobs out and then cleverly tricked them into looting and burning.

His reason? Well, as (pre-designated by his enemies) a fascist, Trump has an innate need for violent spectacle and that was a need in search of an excuse. Having none of his own, he set out to contrive one. That's because, somehow, Trump's penchant for violent spectacle wasn't being answered or sated by other people's burning and looting in half a dozen major towns and cities around the U.S. No. Rather, that burning and looting was instead what he needed and was searching for, this excuse to display his authoritarianism. And how would he do that? Why, by squarely directing that toward the quelling of these crowds of angry people burning and looting!, of course.

That, too, was the way the ordinary good people of these towns and cities in the midst of burning and looting also saw things. I mean, it must have been. Faced with burning and looting in and around the neighborhoods in which they live, how else but in revulsion and disgust could they have regarded Trump taking advantage of that disorder to express his authoritarianism?

Just ask them. Professor Gawthorpe surely must have. He certainly couldn't and wouldn't have been so bold as to have advanced this view of the events without having first carefully gone out and checked to confirm his premises' and conclusions' validity with the observable facts on the ground, right?

Your choice. No one can force you grab the life-saving-bouy you've been offered. But you're flailing in water that's way over your head.

So the author of this article somehow misses that her own article puts the lie to this absurd claim that "Biden has kept those concerns at bay."

This post is totally off topic but I wanted to share.
With all the binge watching I've been doing I have noticed some interesting ratings issues.

First of all - West Wing - which has "language" as one of the warnings. Since this was produced for network television there weren't any examples of profanity. My thought is that they are warning people to have a dictionary on hand to look up any words they don't understand.
