Hey I am still new to this so I am learning how it works. I won an Ebook and then a paperback book. How long does it take to receive the paperback book usually?
Also how long do I have until I need to review the Ebook I receive?
Thank you!

I'm getting Poppy Gee's Vanishing Falls. Thank you!

lkemeny1, I've had good luck getting my paperback wins here within a week or so, but on other sites I'm on, there's a significant delay in physical book shipping with a bunch of publishers at the moment due to covid issues.
19tealadytoo
>16 lkemeny1: It varies, but I usually get paperbacks in 2 - 4 weeks, though a book is not considered "late" by LT unless two months have passed. However, with the slowdown in delivery of non-essential packages due to the pandemic, I'm expecting it to take somewhat longer this time.

Same for me -- I've followed Temple's articles on LitHub and especially love her "literary lists". Curious to see if any of that works its way into her novel.

I've been awarded a copy of Becoming Wild: How Animal Cultures Raise Families, Create Beauty, and Achieve Peace by Carl Safina. Right up my alley.
22WeeTurtle
General question, but shall we assume that the post is pretty slowed up with COVID19 precautions right now?
23minacee
I won a copy of The Psychic Soviet. It arrived today and is blank inside. I double-checked to make sure this wasn't suppose to be some sort of experiment or prank on the part of the writer/publisher. I can't tell.
24tealadytoo
My copy of A Reckless Love arrived by mail today. Pretty good in the current situation.

Hilarious, Cold War shenanigans continue.
But I presume unintentionally so. Have you tried treating the pages with lemon juice and carefully holding a lit candle?!

>23 minacee: The edition you would be reviewing hasn't come out officially yet, so it's possible that there is some kind of printing foul-up, but I hunted around the web a little and was able to confirm that the original edition from 2014 did have real content, and was printed as spiral bound book with a pink plastic cover sized to fit in a shirt pocket.
Was the blank book spiral bound? (Supposedly the little pink book was intended to call to mind Chairman Mao's "Little Red Book".) Just curious. I have no idea if it is supposed to be or not.

I won Phantom's Curse and Great American Deception. Has anyone received theirs yet? I'm curious (and worried I bit off more than I can chew with two books!)
29minacee
The copy I received was not spiral-bound. It definitely is pocket -sized with the "Little Red Book" vibe to this edition. I agree with you in thinking this was a printing foul-up. I did similar digging around and did come to conclusion it was to have real content like the 2014.

>29 minacee: Perhaps you should mention this to katemcangus. She can contact the publisher and get it straightened out.
I used to work for a printer and I am surprised that blank sheets made it all the way through the binding process. Very odd. At least you can use it as a journal.

Has anyone received the ebook Unplugged by Joe Barrett? I thought I received an email today with the book attached, but when I checked my email later, it wasn't there anymore.
I may have misread the email. I have an email for another book (The Cooperating Witness) that uses the word "unproofed," so maybe I misread that as Unplugged.

I also won Vanishing Falls, which seems like it will be a great thriller (though I was really holding out hope for David Mitchell's Utopia Avenue)! Excited to dive into this one, I have a good feeling it will be a pageturner. Have you received your copy yet? I suspect there will be significant shipping delays due to the pandemic, but I seen some people have already begun receiving their books.

Took a while. Post office is backed up (and it looks like this had to come across the border) due to COVID.
Anyway, my April win arrived yesterday or the day before.

I won Recipe for Persuasion but haven't received it yet. I haven't had any big delays with mail. Anyone else received their copy yet?
43browner56
I won The Lightness by Emily Temple from the April batch, but it has not arrived yet. That’s too bad because I was really looking forward to reading this one.
44DanaJean
I won Deceit and Other Possibilities audio form the April batch.
Delays in mail understandable, but I hope I see it soon. I've already received and reviewed my May win so really looking forward to this one!

I just got mine too, just came here to gush about the beautiful *signed* hardcover! Wow!

>47 LizzieD: & >48 albanyhill: I'm feeling a little left out: I got mine today, but it wasn't signed and it was slightly warped and the corners scuffed up from being shoved into a mailer that was quite big enough.
