Looking for a book

New member here. I am looking for a paperback novel written in the early 80's, between 83-84. The title I believe is "Dolls" The heroine is named Joanna who lives in New York city and is a struggling fashion designer, single mother who is trying to break into the world of high fashion. This is a long shot but I am trying to find this book and have come up empty so far. If anybody knows anything or has any ideas please let me know. Thank-you. Defshepard.
