40-80 pages does indeed sound very short. Once upon a time that would mean publishing in anthologies. Its kind of nice that ebooks can be sold at any length. :)
It is a good idea to add books other than your own to your catalog--this creates connections between those books and yours. Similarities between libraries are the basis for many of LibraryThing's features.
You didn't post to the Author introduction thread, where I usually handle these things, but I would be happy to add you to the Hobnob Author index-- but if you want to be added to the location section, I need some idea of where you are. We usually go by the nearest major city.

Please do not start a thread that is only about you and/or your book. Book promotions should be posted in the appropriate book promotion threads. Author introductions should be posted in the author introduction thread.
(This may sound disadvantageous to you, but actually it keeps your post 'live' for longer, so its a win-win situation for everyone. This thread will have dropped way down the list in three months or so, but the official introduction thread will still be somewhere near the top.)
Also, saying hi to the new people is nice, but if they have posted in the wrong place, then there are advantages to popping over to their profile and welcoming them there., instead of prolonging the life of these inherently doomed threads. Although in this particular case, it's not as useful as usual--Ella didn't turn on email notifications, she may never know we welcomed her. :(
