This is a list of all the books written by authors active in the Hobnob Group in 2020.

There is also a list using LT's list feature, which you should feel free to check out and play with: anyone can add books to that list.

The older versions of this List are available at: 2015, 2014, previous to 2014.

If people want to be added to this list, please reply to this message with a list of your books, and in what genres and formats (paperback, epub, etc). If you were on a previous list and no updates are needed, just post telling me so and I'll copy your previous entries over from the old list.

Thanks.

I never know exactly where this fits. It's technically an urban fantasy, but I've heard it referred to as so many other things. Thriller, suspense, romance, action... I guess it goes here. I only have the one book out at the moment. Others coming soon.

My rule is that any one book can be listed in up to three places. So yours is now in fantasy, romance, and thriller/suspense. That ought to work, I hope?

>LShelby,
Sounds cool. I refuse to think of it as a romance, although it is a love story. To me "romance" has a set of rules that are definably different than other books with love stories. However, many of the folks who read it were romance readers, and seemed to regard it that way. I give up. Whatever the readers believe it to be, it is. :)

I tag all books with a strong love story as 'Romance'. I'm not picky. :) Many romance readers aren't. As long as they get a satisfactory love story the don't care what rules you are breaking.

Romance used to mean something totally different anyway, you know. Way back when, 'romances' were stories about King Arthur and his knights--adventure stories set in a slightly fantastic setting.

When Prisoner of Zenda showed up, it sparked a sub-genre that was, at the time, called 'Ruritanian Romance', and science fiction books of the same type as Edger Rice Burroughs' John Carter books were called 'Planetary Romances'.

Interesting. I read Burroughs and his books are most definitely not modern genre romances, nor would I called them romances at all. Pretty straight forward action-adventure serials with Guy-gets-girl, or Guy-wants-girl motivations. By those terms, Jean Claude Van Damme movies are romances.
I understand what you are saying, but I was referring to current genre romances. Defined by sexual/romantic choices, overcoming personality obstacles (usually) and perfect timing. Just at the perfect time the guy does/says the right thing to make the girl want him. That last explanation is why most men do not understand romance. We have no clue when to do this perfectly right thing. ;)

That said, love stories can be romances, and I do enjoy love stories just fine. Just not romances. Even though some folks say I've written one. Go figure. ;)
