I take consolation in the significant body of Tolkien writings still left for me to read for the first time, not to mention the enjoyable re-reads in my future. In no small part, that is to the efforts of the younger Tolkien.

There seems to be a fair amount of purely linguistic material if Parma Whatchamacallit and Vindiesel Tengwar (or whatever they're called) are any indication...

And I wouldn't mind seeing a maximal editing of The Silmarillion along the lines described in Arda Reconstructed.

Aye, an alternative Silmarillion, edited knowing what we now know of JRRT's intentions and what text versions there are, would be nice.
