I want to start by saying that we used TinyCat to circulate our library for the first time this morning and it went really well! My volunteers found it very intuitive to use. I'm really enjoying the features that you've already put in place, so thank you so much for all of you who have developed this great tool!

There doesn't seem to be a TinyCat recommendations group like there is for LibraryThing. I'm sure some of these recommendations have already been put on a list somewhere. I'd love to see what improvements are being considered already. I totally understand that new features take time to develop, but it never hurts to ask. ;) Here are my recommendations so far:

-Multiple logins for multiple stations and/or restricting what volunteers can do (billing, LibraryThing, delete buttons)

-A "scan" button next to the "search" button in the check in/out module. This would access the device camera/scanner on a tablet or phone (like an Amazon search by scan).

-Search/Filter on the patrons module (so we don't have to scroll down a long list)

-Overdue notices by email (ideally, the ability to send them automatically when items are overdue. If not, a template or "send overdue notices" tool would be nice)

-Circulation reports (useful info like how many items were checked out or how many patrons used the library during a specified period of time; Maybe a report showing most popular collections or tags)

-More control over status details (editing or deleting statuses)

>1 hefclibrary: Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying TinyCat so far.

To address whether your recs have been requested yet or not:

-Multiple logins for multiple stations and/or restricting what volunteers can do (billing, LibraryThing, delete buttons)
Yes.

-A "scan" button next to the "search" button in the check in/out module. This would access the device camera/scanner on a tablet or phone (like an Amazon search by scan).
Yes. conceptDawg was going to look into seeing if this is actually feasible in our code, I'll let you know where we land (this has been on the table for awhile, fwiw).

-Search/Filter on the patrons module (so we don't have to scroll down a long list)
Yes. This seems relatively easy to implement, so I'll check back in about this soon!

-Overdue notices by email (ideally, the ability to send them automatically when items are overdue. If not, a template or "send overdue notices" tool would be nice)
Yes. Hopefully coming soon!

-Circulation reports (useful info like how many items were checked out or how many patrons used the library during a specified period of time; Maybe a report showing most popular collections or tags)
Yes. Ditto above!

-More control over status details (editing or deleting statuses)
This has not been recommended yet, but I think we should perhaps allow custom lending statuses to be edited or deleted, just as we do with patron data fields. Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response, Kristi! So far I'm very impressed with this organization, and excited to see what the future holds for TinyCat. ;)
