Out of the corner of my attention yesterday, I heard Rudy yelling at the hosts of Fox & Friends.

Here are the highlights of Rudy Giuliani’s unhinged “Fox & Friends” interview

First, Giuliani insisted that there was nothing wrong with Trump asking Zelensky to investigate Biden because there was a vast conspiracy to frame Trump that originated in Ukraine that included Biden, Hillary Clinton and George Soros. ...
The “Fox & Friends” hosts then steered the conversation back to a bombshell Washington Post story that dropped on Tuesday night in which multiple government officials blamed Giuliani for getting them into a “sh*t show” by inserting himself into diplomacy with Ukraine.

Giuliani responded to this by calling all of these officials “disloyal.” Rudy also insisted at one point during the interview that the State Department should be “grateful” that he inserted himself into diplomacy because otherwise no one would have pushed Ukraine to investigate Biden.

The hosts then asked Giuliani about Trump’s reported requests to have the Ukrainian government investigate Biden, and Giuliani insisted that the president didn’t say anything wrong before revealing that he’d had the entire transcript of the conversation, which is supposed to be classified information, read aloud to him. This is particularly eyebrow raising because Giuliani is not a government official and is instead serving as the president’s personal attorney.

Ah, I was incorrect. He was yelling at a fellow guest on Laura Ingraham's show

‘Shut up, moron’: Rudy Giuliani lashes out at critics, defends his Ukraine involvement

For most of the roughly 13-minute interview, Giuliani sought to shift the focus from himself back to Democrats and Biden. At one point, he even suggested that Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), who went to Ukraine this month, should be impeached instead of Trump.

Giuliani later added that he had gotten involved rather than leaving the investigation to officials with the Justice Department or the FBI because of his role as Trump’s lawyer.

“I’m defending him,” Giuliani said. “He’s my client. I don’t know, only Donald Trump is not entitled to a defense in America.”

“Sorry to cut you off,” Ingraham said following several attempts to let Giuliani know that he was out of time. “You gotta get your voice back.”

Rudy Giuliani is the Trump administration’s point man on Ukraine. Just remember that, and everything else will make a lot more sense.

“I think it’s incredible the way he’s done,” the president of the United States said Wednesday about his personal lawyer, who specializes in going on television and babbling incoherently.

Keith Gessen @keithgessen | Sep 27, 2019:
A few words on Kurt Volker, who appears to be the State Department contact that Giuliani keeps telling us is in his iPhone.

He is a highly respected former G.W. Bush administration official. He is a Republican from the neocon tradition with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe; in the 90s he worked for Richard Holbrooke during the Bosnia negotiations and for John McCain as a foreign policy aide.

In 2015-16, he worked for the Jeb Bush campaign before it collapsed, then sat out the rest of election. He declined to sign the Never Trump letters circulating in summer-fall 2016 because he thought Trump might in the end need some foreign policy professionals.

In spring 2017, Rex Tillerson asked him to come into the administration and work on the increasingly complex negotiations over the proposed settlement in Eastern Ukraine. He became Special Rep to Ukraine. According to most DC foreign policy people, he was doing a great job.

But also, according to the whistleblower complaint, he was trying to somehow contain the Giuliani-Trump conspiracy to shake down Ukraine for information, the DNC servers, bespoke prosecutions, and so on.

In short, another classic case of someone going into this administration to try to do the right thing (by their lights), getting caught up trying to "manage" the madness, and in the end getting totally slimed by association with these guys. The End.

Kurt Volker, Trump’s Envoy for Ukraine, Resigns
Peter Baker | Sept. 27, 2019

WASHINGTON — Kurt D. Volker, the State Department’s special envoy for Ukraine who got caught in the middle of the pressure campaign by President Trump and his lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani, to find damaging information about Democrats, abruptly resigned his post on Friday.

Mr. Volker, who told Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday that he was stepping down, offered no public explanation, but a person informed about his decision said he concluded that it was impossible to be effective in his assignment given the developments of recent days.

His departure was the first resignation since revelations about Mr. Trump’s efforts to pressure Ukraine’s president to investigate former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and other Democrats. The disclosures have triggered a full-blown House impeachment inquiry, and House leaders announced on Friday that they planned to interview Mr. Volker in a deposition on Thursday.

Mr. Volker, a widely respected former ambassador to NATO, served in the part-time, unpaid position of special envoy to help Ukraine resolve its armed confrontation with Russia-sponsored separatists. He was among the government officials who found themselves in an awkward position because of the search for dirt on Democrats, reluctant to cross the president or Mr. Giuliani yet wary of getting drawn into politics outside their purview.

...Mr. Volker’s departure...leaves the Trump administration with few senior officials versed in Ukraine’s struggles with Russia.

Giuliani is unhinged. It's kind of funny---he became famous for prosecuting the mobster John Gotti who was arrogant as could be and thought himself invinceable. Now he's working for a guy with the same character traits.

He must know he is criminally liable for the shit he's doing. I think he's become so addicted to the spotlight that he can't help himself--he'll do anything to get on a news show and make any kind of noise. He's going to end up in prison unless he dies or kills himself.

Giuliani cancels paid appearance next week at Kremlin-backed conference
Tom Hamburger, Josh Dawsey, Amie Ferris-Rotman and Rosalind S. Helderman | September 27, 2019 at 7:32 p.m. EDT

Rudolph W. Giuliani, whose actions as President Trump’s personal lawyer have helped set in motion an impeachment inquiry, abruptly canceled his scheduled paid appearance at a Kremlin-backed conference in Armenia next week.

Giuliani, who confirmed to The Washington Post on Friday morning that he would attend the event, reversed himself that evening after The Post reported on his participation in the meeting, which Russian President Vladimir Putin and other top Russian officials are expected to attend.

The two-day conference is sponsored by Russia and the Moscow-based Eurasian Economic Union, a trade alliance launched by Putin in 2014 as a counterweight to the European Union.

...Giuliani was set to participate in a panel led by Sergey Glazyev, a longtime Putin adviser who has been under U.S. sanctions since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine five years ago...

...he also appeared last year

...Giuliani..works for the president in a personal capacity and does not take a salary from the government or the president...

Giuliani consulted on Ukraine with imprisoned Paul Manafort via a lawyer
Josh Dawsey, Tom Hamburger, Paul Sonne and Rosalind S. Helderman | Oct. 2, 2019

...Rudolph W. Giuliani in recent months has consulted several times with Manafort through the federal prisoner’s lawyer in pursuit of information about a disputed ledger that would bolster his theory that the real story of 2016 is not Russian interference to elect Trump, but Ukrainian efforts to support Hillary Clinton.

The alliance, which Giuliani acknowledged in an interview this week with The Washington Post, stems from a shared interest in a narrative that undermines the rationale for the special counsel investigation. That inquiry led to Manafort’s imprisonment on tax and financial fraud allegations related to his work in Kiev for the political party of former president Viktor Yanukovych...

Trump's Rudy problem

•As far back as November 2016, a source who worked on the Trump transition team told Jonathan Swan, a colleague “walked back into the war room after an hour on the phone with Giuliani. He had a few pieces of notebook paper covered front and back with notes on red flags, and he looked like he’d just seen a ghost."

•“Not good, guys. Not. Good,” the colleague said, according to the source. A second source with direct knowledge confirmed the account.

In June, Axios broke a story about leaked vetting documents that the Trump transition team and the Republican National Committee compiled in the fall of 2016. While vetting Giuliani, they found so many red flags that he was ultimately prevented from serving at the State Department.

•Giuliani’s file was so thick, they took the rare step of producing a separate dossier to cover his extensive foreign business entanglements.

•A former Trump transition team member said senior Trump aides made clear that Giuliani could not be confirmed as secretary of state because of his foreign business ties, and the job of the vetting team was to show Giuliani why “he really shouldn’t put himself through a Senate confirmation.”

•"The extensive amount of work that I've done in the 80 or plus countries that I've been to in the last 17 years is what would've qualified me to be an excellent secretary of state," Giuliani said after Axios explained the contents of the documents to him in June. "Would you prefer someone who hasn't been overseas?"

Awkward! Trump Lawyer Rudy Giuliani Spills the Tea After Butt-Dialing a Reporter

Giuliani can be heard telling the man that he’s “got to call Robert again tomorrow.”

“Is Robert around?” Giuliani asks.

“He’s in Turkey,” the man responds.

Giuliani replies instantly. “The problem is we need some money.”

The two men then go silent. Nine seconds pass. No word is spoken. Then Giuliani chimes in again.

“We need a few hundred thousand,” he says.

It’s unclear who “Robert” is or what exactly Giuliani and the other man are discussing, but NBC reports that Giuliani has ties to a lawyer named Robert Mangus who did work in Turkey for a firm both he and Giuliani worked for.

Rudy Giuliani needed Apple genius help to unlock his iPhone after being named Trump cybersecurity adviser

Less than a month after he was named President Donald Trump’s cybersecurity adviser in 2017, Rudy Giuliani walked into an Apple store in downtown San Francisco.
...
He was locked out of his iPhone because he had forgotten the passcode and entered the wrong one at least 10 times, according to two people familiar with the matter and a photo of an internal Apple store memo obtained by NBC News.

Hilbert (a former FBI cyber expert) said he’s also troubled by the fact that Giuliani’s cellphone data is backed up to Apple's iCloud system, even if the former New York City mayor largely uses it as his personal phone.

“All of his stuff is literally sitting in Apple systems,” Hilbert said. “It makes him very vulnerable.”

Rudy Giuliani’s security company gets an “F” for website security

US president Donald Trump describes Rudy Giuliani as a “great crime fighter,” yet almost three years after multiple shortcomings with Giuliani’s corporate website were first pointed out, the president’s personal lawyer has not brought it up to even the most rudimentary security standards.

Mozilla Observatory, an online site-scanning service operated by the nonprofit company behind the Firefox web browser, rates Giuliani Security & Safety’s website an “F” for basic connection security, with a score of 0 out of 100. In a suite of 11 tests, the Giuliani Security & Safety site passes just 3, according to Mozilla.

“I’d love to become the person that comes up with a solution to cybersecurity,” Giuliani told Fox News shortly after the 2016 presidential election, referring to a possible position in the Trump White House. Trump appointed Giuliani as his cybersecurity adviser in January 2017.

However, the former New York City mayor can’t seem to adequately secure his own website from potential eavesdroppers.
...
Web visitors to Giuliani Security & Safety are greeted with a warning that the site is “not secure.” This means the site, which features a testimonial from Gennadiy Kernes, the mayor of Kharkiv, Ukraine, who has been accused of having ties to organized crime, isn’t using a private connection, and the information a user sends or receives could be intercepted or altered. Giuliani Security’s SSL certificate has expired—an issue first raised in 2017—meaning the site’s identity can’t be trusted.

Ron Gula, who worked as a network penetration tester for the National Security Agency, told Quartz he has met Giuliani and came away impressed. He noted that the site, as presently configured, is little more than a “billboard” for Giuliani’s business, and since it doesn’t ask for passwords or other sensitive data, it doesn’t require strong defenses.

The site is “pretty basic,” and isn’t asking users to transmit sensitive information through it, agreed Josh Mitchell, a cybersecurity consultant at Nuix, an Australian technology firm. At the same time, if it is indeed an advertisement for Mr. Giuliani’s services, Miller questions his team’s cybersecurity acumen if “they can’t install a website properly.”

“We’re happy to see that Mr. Giuliani attempted to encrypt traffic to his company’s site,” said Max Hunter, engineering director at the nonprofit Electronic Frontier Foundation, in an email. “Manually configuring a certificate is a frustrating, time-consuming process with opportunities for embarrassing misconfigurations like this one,” Hunter said. The EFF has worked to make securing websites easier, and Hunter recommended that Giuliani check out its free “certbot” tool to do just that.

Giuliani did not respond to a request for comment.

https://www.newsweek.com/former-cia-officer-rudy-giuliani-third-world-level-corr...

The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that Giuliani had been "in talks" to get paid a minimum of $200,000 by Ukraine's former prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko in exchange for helping Ukraine find assets supposedly stolen from the country as part of a retainer agreement drafted in February.

The newspaper claimed that a later draft agreement from March between the lawyer's company Giuliani Partners and the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice would have seen the former New York City mayor paid $300,000 if those "stolen" assets were found.

The New York Times ran the same story Wednesday, and reported that only the draft contract between Giuliani Partners and the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice appeared with the company's letterhead and the signature of the president's personal attorney.

The Times also said that the lawyers Victoria Toensing and Joseph diGenova were named in the earlier, unsigned draft agreement.

Both newspapers also translated a Ukrayinska Pravda interview with Lutsenko this month in which he is purported to have said that he had been in touch with advisors to Giuliani about arranging a meeting with U.S. Attorney General William Barr, but was told he would have to pay a company to lobby for it, which he refused to do.

Responding to the Post story, ex-CIA officer and Republican policy director Evan McMullin lambasted Giuliani's alleged behaviour.

The 2016 presidential candidate and frequent Trump-critic tweeted: "Giuliani even tried to get the Ukrainian prosecutor general to pay for a meeting with Attorney General Barr. This is third-world level corruption right at the top of our own government."

Giuliani has categorically denied the claims reported yesterday, accusing the Times of attacking him because he had "exposed their hypocrisy."

"NYT #FAKENEWS: I did NOT pursue a business opportunity in Ukraine, as they misrepresented," the president's lawyer tweeted Wednesday night. "I could have helped them recover $7B in stolen money, but I didn't. Was paid ZERO.

"They attack me because I have exposed their hypocrisy & how they covered up Biden's massive corruption!"

In an interview with the Times on the same day, Giuliani said a Ukrainian official sought to hire him earlier this year, but claimed to have rejected the offer and a subsequent, separate deal with the Ukrainian government.

President Trump's attorney added: "I thought that would be too complicated. I never received a penny."

ON EVE OF IMPEACHMENT VOTE, GIULIANI CALLS UP NEW YORK TIMES TO INCRIMINATE TRUMP (Vanity Fair)

For those of you who didn’t go to law school, the thing about defense attorneys is that, in most cases, they’re not supposed to make their client look guilty, even if said client is guilty as hell. Most lawyers seem to understand how this works—and then you have Rudy Giuliani, personal attorney to the president. The former New York City mayor famously started telling the media about the plot to extort Ukraine months before the impeachment scandal was even a twinkle in Adam Schiff’s eye, and on Monday, as the House prepped a vote to impeach Donald Trump later this week, Giuliani chose to call up the New York Times and tell reporter Kenneth Vogel that Trump was part of the scheme to remove former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, whom he saw as an impediment to getting the country to investigate Joe Biden.

Giuliani is notably not being paid for his legal work for the president, but if he were he might have just introduced the concept of negative billable hours...

Rudy is "heartbroken"

Rudy Giuliani says Lev Parnas 'misled' him and 'lied stupidly'

Speaking to Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday night, Giuliani, President Trump's personal lawyer, said he was once "close to" Parnas, but was "misled by him."

Giuliani told Ingraham he would not discuss all of Parnas' accusations, but did deny ever talking about his Ukraine investigation with Barr and said Parnas' account of a meeting during a 2018 White House Hanukkah party was a lie. In November, CNN reported that Parnas told two people close to him that during the celebration, Trump let Parnas and Fruman know he wanted them to go on a "secret mission" to Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. Giuliani said this was "absolutely untrue," as they were never pulled into a private meeting.

Parnas posted a photo taken at the party on social media, showing him posing with Trump, Giuliani, Fruman, and Vice President Mike Pence.

Jonathan Mahler posts an in-depth look at Rudy over the decades in today's NYT. It's worth a full read. I'm only posting some of his general conclusions here:

The Fog of Rudy

To me, the answer to the question ‘‘What happened to Rudy?’’ had come to seem obvious: Nothing. Rather, Giuliani’s latest role — as the president’s letting-it-all-hang-out, unabashedly dishonest personal lawyer and shadow secretary of state — is more like a culmination, the purest expression of Rudyism yet. What has changed is that Giuliani’s style has become the dominant mode of American — and, really, global — politics.

Personality-wise, Giuliani is a throwback to an old New York type, perhaps best embodied by William Magear Tweed, a.k.a. Boss Tweed, another swaggering, domineering figure from the city’s past. But men like Tweed were creatures of their old-fashioned political machines, while Giuliani was among the first of a new breed, a publicity-obsessed, reality-defying master of resentment politics — that is, just the kind of figure who is now ascendant across the globe in the form of strongmen, oligarchs and even populist Tories. These are not men of vision, but men of appetites. They are typically unrefined and streetwise; they practice their populism with a knowing wink, issuing fact-indifferent, emotion-based appeals to their constituents, while focusing, with impunity, on consolidating their power, satisfying their hungers and enriching themselves. The evolution of the modern media facilitated their rise, and the unregulated platforms of social media have now eliminated the final barrier to their ascension. ‘‘Without Twitter, I think we’d be lost,’’ Trump told Rush Limbaugh just this month. ‘‘We wouldn’t be able to get the truth out.’’

The real question is perhaps not ‘‘What happened to Rudy?’’ It’s ‘‘What happened to us?’’

The ability to move through the world like Giuliani does — without concern for consequences — is a gift; one that endows those who possess it with a power that others will invariably want to tap. Trump must have known exactly what to expect when he hired Giuliani as his personal lawyer, and it’s exactly what he got.

Did Rudy Giuliani know exactly what he was doing? He is not a would-be Machiavellian political philosopher in the mode of Karl Rove. Nor did his actions reveal some sophisticated or even cohesive legal strategy. Watching his invariably viral TV performances, it often felt as if the closest thing to a unifying explanation for his behavior was his pronounced inability to experience shame. Shamelessness is not an art or even a skill. It’s simply a way of operating in the world that informs all of your actions and interactions, for good or ill.

It’s a state of mind that he shares not only with Trump but also with a growing number of blatantly dishonest, nakedly opportunistic political figures.

White House was warned Giuliani was target of Russian intelligence operation to feed misinformation to Trump
Shane Harris, Ellen Nakashima, Greg Miller and Josh Dawsey | Oct. 15, 2020

U.S. intelligence agencies warned the White House last year that President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani was the target of an influence operation by Russian intelligence, according to four former officials familiar with the matter.

The warnings were based on multiple sources, including intercepted communications, that showed Giuliani was interacting with people tied to Russian intelligence during a December 2019 trip to Ukraine, where he was gathering information that he thought would expose corrupt acts by former vice president Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

The intelligence raised concerns that Giuliani was being used to feed Russian misinformation to the president, the former officials said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information and conversations...

Rudy Giuliani faces questions after compromising scene in new Borat film
Trump’s personal attorney has indiscreet encounter with actor playing Borat’s daughter in hotel room during pandemic
Catherine Shoard | 21 Oct 2020 12.00 EDT

The reputation of Rudy Giuliani could be set for a further blow with the release of highly embarrassing footage in Sacha Baron Cohen’s follow-up to Borat.

In the film, released on Friday (Oct 23, 2020?), the former New York mayor and current personal attorney to Donald Trump is seen reaching into his trousers and apparently touching his genitals while reclining on a bed in the presence of the actor playing Borat’s daughter, who is posing as a TV journalist.

Following an obsequious interview for a fake conservative news programme, the pair retreat at her suggestion for a drink to the bedroom of a hotel suite, which is rigged with concealed cameras.

After she removes his microphone, Giuliani, 76, can be seen lying back on the bed, fiddling with his untucked shirt and reaching into his trousers. They are then interrupted by Borat who runs in and says: “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.”

...Even before he reaches into his trousers, Giuliani does not appear to acquit himself especially impressively during the encounter. Flattered and flirtatious, he drinks scotch, coughs, fails to socially distance and claims Trump’s speedy actions in the spring saved a million Americans from dying of Covid. He also agrees – in theory at least – to eat a bat with his interviewer...

>32 mamzel: According to the NYT:

"In reality, the mistake was not in the booking, but in a garbled game of telephone. Mr. Giuliani and the Trump campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski told the president on Saturday morning their intended location for the news conference and he misunderstood, assuming it was an upscale hotel, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.

But the campaign had always intended to hold the news conference in a friendlier part of town. The president’s team had struggled with news conferences in this Democratic stronghold all week. Since Wednesday, the streets outside of the Convention Center have been filled with pro-Biden protesters chanting, “Count every vote!” On multiple occasions, the Trump campaign surrogates were drowned out and surrounded by the much larger pro-Biden crowd.

Earlier this week, Pam Bondi, the former attorney general of Florida, and Mr. Lewandowski attempted to hold a celebratory news conference after obtaining a favorable court order in Pennsylvania. But a local D.J. blasting Beyoncé completely overpowered Ms. Bondi, who was forced to simply hold up the order as most of the media gathered nearby could not hear her speaking.

Dan Scavino, the keeper of the presidential Twitter feed and a deputy White House chief of staff for communications, eventually tweeted out the corrective, people familiar with the event said, while White House officials overall were rolling their eyes and dismissing the entire embarrassing episode as another “Rudy special.”"

.......turns out as well that one of the poll watchers who spoke at Rudy's landscaping event and claimed there were some biases going on was a New Jersey (not Philadelphia as in Pennsylvania) man named Darrell Brooks and that this Brooks did more than 3 years in prison for exposing himself to a 10 and an 11 year old girl some years ago. As usual you can't beat the Trump administration or even Rudy himself for always finding the best people. The guy in the undershorts and Biden mask yapping about George Soros wasn't the craziest person at Rudy's clown show.

Right Wing National Review Says, Believing Giuliani Means Taking an Insanity Oath"

They're called "faud-pillers," the ones who have swallowed a pill that lets them believe and promote election fraud, and live in the Land of Trumpian Denial of reality. It's a lunatic fringe sub-cult of the lunatic fringe RWNJ Trump cult. Swallow the pill and take the oath, and you too can be like Rudy Julie Annie.

“Allegiance to a plain insanity is a good test of loyalty, like being beat-in during a gang initiation,” he concludes. “It marks you in a way that makes you less suitable as an object for the Left’s blandishments. It demonstrates ‘commitment’ or heart. Shared insanity can make people loyal to each other, sure. But it does so by rendering them useless or repulsive to the normal and decent people who need champions.”
If you don't join the Insanity Oathers, then you're labeled a Vichy-con.

What we're witnessing is the coming civil war's first rumblings. Only, instead of targeting anti-fa and Democratic activists and politicians, this far bloodier war of attrition is going to take down the Republican Party because most of them (70-80%) have become fraud-pillers and have no tolerance for the governance wing of what used to be the Republican Party.

I remain optimistic, however. Mr. Trump and his coterie lose, and lose daily and severally, in the courts. And they will continue to lose.

If there were actual evidence it would have been produced in court by now.

Georgia has certified that state’s election results. Mr. Biden won there. Michigan election overseers won’t change their minds, despite Mr. Trumps attempt to suborn them.

The disgust we all feel, witnessing this— and the culpable negligence of powerful congressional Repblicans won’t be soon forgotten.

But we’ll move on. I hope some lessons will be learned about how easily people can be led to disbelieve the evidence of their own eyes.

He’s now switched to blaming unknown Germans or a German company for somehow orchestrating fake ballots for Mr. Biden.

Evidence presented: None

Then, in that well-known Republican tactic called “mirroring”, he says the Democratic Party has been “taken over by Clinton.” He didn’t specify which Clinton he was talking about. He then goes on to say they are “bad people.”

Evidence presented: None

Certainly there are people engaging in flights of fantasy. They are not, however, the people who look at the popular and the electoral vote, and say the Mr. Trump won the election.

Evidence provided for that particular claim: None

The Julie Annie Clown Show Must Go On!

Question: This time in Georgia. When is state election fraud not state election fraud?

Answer: When it's hearsay about what went on in states other than Georgia when the hearing is about Georgia election fraud.

At that hearing,
Trump campaign’s star witnesses, Retired Army Col. Phil Waldron, was on the receiving end of a grilling by state Democratic Senator Jen Jordan over his testimony and a video that claims to show ballots being “pulled from under a table” after poll workers were allegedly told to leave the room.

Jordan asked Waldron if he was indeed suggesting that the ballots represented in the video were somehow fraudulent, to which Waldron replied that “we do have affidavits of people who trucked in ballots from out of state into other states…”

“And to be clear — into Georgia?” Jordan interjected.
I leave you to guess Waldron's answer to that most pertinent inquiry. But if you're not confident of your guess, just follow the link to the full story. I'll just say that this witness was no different from drunk blonde lady who's videoed "testimony" during Julie Annie's attempts to shut her up has gone viral.

The GA Sec'y of State said about this year's election -- no evidence of election or voter fraud in GA 2020 election. I believe him.

I would have thought it was when he chose to represent Donald Trump's clinically insane claims of election fraud, and set about to further undermine the next administration's efforts to restore America after four years of catastrophic misrule. At least, that's what did it for me.

I'm reminded of David Mitchell's comments about one or another British politician, on some panel show - something to the effect of "I don't understand why we're all here making fun of her appearance. The thing that's horrible about this person isn't that she doesn't look nice, it's that she's a horrible person with horrible policies. Can't we talk about that instead?"

I would have thought it was when he tried to bribe Ukrainians to come to the US and testify that Joe Biden and son had been engaged in non-existent corruption in their country so that Donald Trump could smear the man who would defeat him in Nov. 2020 election with character assassinating lies. You know, accuse and frame his innocent enemy of exactly the kind of crime he was doing.

I mean if its all about moral purity and not about poking fun, then at least pick the most evil thing Julie Annie has done.

We're not talking about how the guy looks. We're talking about his ineptitude in everything he attempts, including coloring his hair. After all, hair dye isn't intended to be applied to the skin of the face.

What’s indeed pathetic is what has happened to Giuliani the man. Agree with his politics or not, he certainly was a competent man.

And now he’s pathetically clinging to Trump’s rapidly shrinking coattails, apparently in an attempt to stay in the public eye by saying and doing anything, no matter how ludicrous. He’s making a mockery of himself. If others join in, that’s perhaps mean-spirited, but he’s the one giving them the opportunity.

His family should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. It will permanently tarnish whatever his good reputation was.

And *that* is pathetic.

Exclusive: Ukraine Releases ‘Shock’ Call With Giuliani As Trump’s Second Impeachment Trial Begins
Simon Shuster | February 9, 2021

...The conversation on July 22, 2019, kicked off the campaign of intimidation that resulted in Trump’s first impeachment. For a year and half, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his aides said little about their interactions with Giuliani, not wanting to anger an emissary of the U.S. President. But now, as the Trump era ends with a historic second impeachment trial, the Ukrainians have begun to speak up about the circumstances that led to the first. They are also taking steps that could imperil Giuliani and his Ukrainian allies.

Igor Novikov, who served as a close adviser to Zelensky during Trump’s first impeachment, says he is willing to assist an ongoing federal investigation of Giuliani that is reportedly underway in New York, as well as a separate effort to strip Giuliani of his license to practice law. Zelensky’s government has taken legal action against Giuliani’s Ukrainian associates. And they have opened up to the media about the pressure campaign mounted by Trump and his allies. On Feb. 3, Novikov sent TIME a transcript of the Giuliani call, whose accuracy TIME has independently verified...

The Chickens Come Home to Roost for ‘Traitorous Traitor’ Rudy
Giuliani bought time as Justice closed in ahead of and just after the election. With today's raids of his home and office, it looks like his time is nearly up.
Kenneth F. McCallion | Apr. 28, 2021

The man once known as “America’s mayor” now appears to be on the brink of a federal indictment for, among other things, selling out his country by actively aiding and abetting Russia’s campaign to undermine American democracy in the 2020 election.

In addition to the far-reaching investigation of Rudy Giuliani and several of his cohorts by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, culminating in the raid on his home and office on Wednesday to seize his electronic devices, a recent U.S. intelligence report all but identified Giuliani by name as one of the lead facilitators of the Russian intelligence effort to tarnish then candidate Joe Biden’s reputation and to influence the 2020 election again in Trump’s favor. One very notable passage in the report stated, “A key element of Moscow’s strategy this election cycle was its use of people linked to Russian intelligence to launder influence narratives… through US media organizations, US officials, and prominent US individuals” tied to Trump.

The clear implication is that Giuliani has been at the top of the list of White House insiders knowingly spreading Kremlin disinformation designed to call into question the legitimacy of the 2020 election and our country’s entire democratic electoral system...

Worth listening to simply because Michael Cohen has both been there and done that. Especially Cohen's remark regarding Rudy Giuliani having constructed the Southern District of NY's prosecutorial methods and style that are now being deployed against him. An amuse-bouche of justice, one might say.

Rudy Giuliani suspended from practicing law in Washington DC (Guardian)

A US appeals court has suspended Rudy Giuliani from practicing law in Washington DC, a move that follows an earlier suspension in New York amid fallout over his baseless claims about the 2020 election. Giuliani, who led Trump’s legal challenge after his election defeat, was suspended from practicing law in New York last month after a court ruled that he had made “demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public” in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 elections in favor of Trump...

Fox News Bans Rudy Giuliani from Appearing on Air

MSNBC host, Ari Melber, reports today that the formerly beloved network of Trump and his cult will not allow the so-called personal attorney of the former first guy because of his record of lying and spreading lies about the 2020 election that has led to Dominion Voting Systems $1.6 billion lawsuit for slander damages against it.

That Giuliani has gone on TV and asserted that his lies, "many of which," (his words) have been proven true has forced Fox News to keep him at arm's length from its studios. Those lies have landed Giuliani in the same hot water as Fox, defending himself against libel and slander. And like Trump, the lawyers willing to defend him are scarce. Or, they are the ones like Trump describes his latest hire of an attorney whose main client is a parking garage as "low-profile," or as Trump niece, Mary Trump, herself being sued by her uncle, describes said uncle's attorneys of late, the "strip mall" variety of legal practitioner.

Thousands of Giuliani’s communications turned over to Manhattan U.S. attorney following privilege review
Shayna Jacobs | Jan 21, 2022

NEW YORK — The retired federal judge assigned to review the contents of 18 electronic devices seized from Rudolph W. Giuliani’s home and offices in Manhattan last spring has withheld about half of what former president Donald Trump’s personal lawyer argued should be kept out of the hands of investigators because it was privileged.

More than 3,000 communications were released to prosecutors on Wednesday, an action reflected in a four-page report submitted to a judge overseeing litigation on the FBI’s April 28 seizure of Giuliani’s phones and computers. The contents of the devices were not disclosed.

The Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office has been investigating Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine while he was representing Trump. Prosecutors have said Giuliani might have acted as an unregistered foreign agent, which was the basis for the agents’ search...

Exclusive: Federal prosecutors looking at 2020 fake elector certifications, deputy attorney general tells CNN
Evan Perez and Tierney Sneed | January 25, 2022

... "We've received those referrals. Our prosecutors are looking at those and I can't say anything more on ongoing investigations" ((Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco) said in an exclusive interview.

The fake certificates falsely declaring Trump's victory were sent to the National Archives by Trump's allies in mid-December 2020. They have attracted public scrutiny amid the House's January 6 investigation into the pressure campaign that sought to reverse Trump's electoral defeat.

Monaco did not go into detail about what else prosecutors are looking at from the partisan attempt to subvert the 2020 vote count. She said that, more broadly, the Justice Department was "going to follow the facts and the law, wherever they lead, to address conduct of any kind and at any level that is part of an assault on our democracy."

The certificates contain the signatures of Trump supporters who falsely claimed to be the rightful electors in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada and New Mexico -- all states that President Joe Biden had won. Some of the certificates were sent by top officials representing the Republican Party in each state, according to the documents, which were obtained and made public by the watchdog group American Oversight...
