I would like to get an xls file such as the one obtained with the export function, but including the CK field "original publication date"... is that possible? Any idea?

I would like to work out some statistics, just for fun :-)

Thanks in advance,
Kiko

No, I think we'll do it as XML, though. Is that a problem?

No, probably an XML is even better. I only "need" to have together the typical book data and the CK field. This last field is very important because it provides the chronological perspective...

Kiko

sorry, is there anything new about this? I really would like to see together the original publication date and the other fields for a large books dataset, not necessarily my books (i only want to prepare some statistics)

Thanks!

Chris just last night added CK fields to the catalog, so sending them to the output files doesn't seem like it should be that far off.

Again, is there anything new about this?

I really would like to see together the original publication date and the other fields for a large books dataset, not necessarily my books (I only want to prepare some statistics)

P.S. I apologize to be so... insistent :-)

Nothing new yet. Mostly because I've been off on paternity leave for the last few weeks and I'm not quite caught up with the mound of stuff that piled up during that time.

Once my friend told me about an interesting application. As he told me,it resovled all his problems with corrupted xls files for minutes and absolutely free -Microsoft Excel files repairing tool. I used this tool and was surprised, because of it restored my corrupted files quite easy and fast. Besides I knew how the tool opens and recovers damaged documents in Microsoft Excel format.

I haven't been able to find CK original publication date field in either the Excel or Tab-delimited text export options. Is there a way to get this field on any export option?

>12 karenmarie: No, you can't export anything from CK.

Thanks Phaedra!

I didn't think so, unfortunately, but was hoping I might have missed something. I'm working on a project - having that info would make it much, much easier. Oh well, if that's my biggest disappointment with LT, it's pretty small potatoes.
