Now that the Man Group will no longer sponsor the Booker Prize and the Booker International Prize the web site has changed its name accordingly:

https://thebookerprizes.com/

I've updated the group header to reflect the new web site, and the announcement dates. The longlist will be announced on July 24, the shortlist on September 3, and the winner on October 14.

Have you read or heard of any books that you think should, or will, make this year's longlist? If so, please list and discuss them here.

I've just finished one book, Lanny by Max Porter, which I think merits inclusion in this year's longlist. These books would also seem to be worthy contenders:

We Cast a Shadow by Maurice Carlos Ruffin
Spring by Ali Smith
Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardino Evaristo
An Orchestra of Minorities by Chigozie Obioma
Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli
10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World by Elif Shafak
The Unauthorised Biography of Ezra Maas by Daniel James
Memories of the Future by Siri Hustvedt

>1 kidzdoc: You had a good foresight! A pity that the Hustvedt didn’t make it!
