Trouble checking books back in with patrons name

hello! I just joined, love our new library website, it has brought us lightyears ahead in managing our circulation! One problem I am having though:
when I want to check in a returned book, it will not let me check it in with the name of the patron, whether I go through check in/out or transactions or through the patron or through the book record! so in the end it reads that " no name" returned the book. Is this a temporary bug? I did not have that trouble the other day.

Sorry for your trouble! Can you give me links to specific book/s where you've tried to mark them as returned and gotten the "No name" applied to the return instead of the actual patron? I'll need to take a closer look here for my testing.
