Vonda N. McIntyre, yesterday. I heard via Twitter; one obit at File770.

Yes, she went fast. Really sad news. I stayed in the basement apartment in her house when I was in Seattle last summer, she was often generous and offered it to visiting fans. She was truly a class act and will be sorely missed by fans and colleagues, in Seattle and all over the world.

Pancreatic cancer is a bad way to go...the only good thing you can say about it is that it runs its course quickly.

The cliche is to say that McIntyre will be missed but in this case it's really true.
