So I’ve emailed LOA a couple of times in the past month it no response. Can’t easily call due to working hours. So I was hoping to get some feedback on here...has anyone become a subscriber without buying one of the introductory sets, or substituting other volumes for the introductory set? I really want to subscribe and order a bunch of books, but I have no interest in any of the welcome sets and don’t want to accumulate books I don’t need.

I used to subscribe but found myself getting unwanted books, so I quit the subscription and started buying the ones I wanted from Amazon. Prices are reasonable, and I found that I liked the artistic dust jackets better than the dull slipcases anyway.

I personally took one of the introductory sets with my subscription, but only after I found one I liked and not one of those commonly advertised at the time I subscribed.

That said, I believe I've read of others who substituted other books when making a call to customer service. I have not heard specifically of anyone subscribing and not accepting any kind of introductory offer, but I can't imagine that would be a problem, should you not have the option of making a substitute.

If you have not already, you might try leaving a private message here on LT for DCloyceSmith, who often posts in this forum and as an LOA marketing director, is very helpful on all things LOA.

I'm sorry that you haven't received responses to your e-mails.

Could you send (or resend) your message to lists@loa.org? I'll be sure it gets forwarded to our Customer Service Manager, who can help you get set up as a subscriber. We do have a few intro offers not on the website, which we've removed because the inventory is too low to advertise more broadly.

Sorry for the delay and confusion--and thanks for posting here.
