Y'all, it's time to talk about the penultimate Poldark novel, The Twisted Sword! I'm still reading The Loving Cup, so I don't really have anything to say at the outset. But please discuss below!

I've read this one before.

There's a lot of twisting in this book, so please be very careful with your spoilers!

I've got The Twisted Sword, but won't be able to join in until later in the month.

Started The Twisted Sword last night, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for the Poldarks and Warleggans!

I'm at the halfway point and enjoying this book very much.

...and I'm done. I really enjoyed this one, there was a lot of story happening, both political and within the family. Now I'm looking forward to reading about Bella in the next book.

Finished over the weekend! I’m glad we’re finally rid of Stephen, although I do feel bad for Clowance. Also, I feared Jeremy would die at Waterloo as soon as I learned he was stationed in Brussels. So heartbreaking! I’m hoping for a little more happiness in the final book!

>7 christina_reads: Agree with you on both points. I knew that Jeremy died in Waterloo before starting this one, thanks to the spoiler in the goodreads description of the last book, Bella Poldark which I've since edited out using my GR librarian status.. so pleased that Demelza threw the loving cup into the well, it was like an ill omen on display, waiting to be noticed by the wrong person

Finished!
I was sad for the Poldarks to lose Jeremy and the sadness for Clowance.
Though it was funny when Ross laughed at George's irritation at having twin daughters
But my favorite part was when Valentine confronted Ross about his paternity. I had been waiting for that for about three books now!
Wow! This one got dark in the last half. I'm hoping the last book strikes a better chord at the end.
