Recently Added books not showing up in catalog

Hello,

I can see that I recently added over a dozen books but they are not showing up in my catalog--not in Tiny Cat nor in "Your books" in Library Thing. When I searched one of the titles on the site, the record said that we own it. Can you help? Thanks.

Are you searching in All collections or in Your Library? The last few books you added are only in the View Online (Links) collection. They won't show up if you search Your Library.

Incidentally, you also have not chosen to include the "View Online (Links)" collection within your TinyCat. You can set which collections you want to include on your TinyCat from your Basic Settings page here: https://www.librarycat.org/admin/settings. If you include the collection in your TinyCat, you should be able to search that collection within TinyCat.

I have the same problem and view online links is selected. Also, the scrolling bar at the bottom of my front page of TinyCat library shows images of the recently added books and if you click on the image, it will take you to the listing to check out the book. BUT when you type the title in the search bar, the book will not show up.

Same thing happening to me!

Hi, I just sent two messages via email to Kristi about this same problem. I can't go any further in my collection till this is resolved. Please Help. This just started today. It was working fine up to yesterday. In the posts above you mentioned "View Online (Links)" in Tiny Cat...where is that?? Robin

Catalog search can sometimes take some time to catch new books (up to a few hours, maybe) but you should be able to see books immediately if you sort your catalog by entry date

I see three books added yesterday. They show up in catalogue search and in TinyCat search.

If books don't immediately show up in search, this resolves if you give it time. It can even take a few days for a new work to show up in site search. This is normal. Indexing takes time.

We have recently (Jan. 17) added a number of books which appear in a Recently Added listing but do not appear when searched for. Please help. I understand you don't work weekends.

Many of the recent 100 books don't have tags.

But did you try to find it in search? I find it in the list, but not in search.

If any search/es are failing, I really need to know the search term/s you're using rather than the title/s you're missing from the search/es. Also, make sure you're searching "All collections" from the Collections drop-down menu in "Your books" (the catalog page), and searching all fields! Hope this helps.

When we make edits to a book in Library Thing, they do not show up in Tiny Cat. Why does this happen and can we fix it. Peg

Hi there, the last 155 books I have added to my collection since Sept 23 seem to have disappeared. This was all correct up until this year so these have disappeared our of my collection but they are there in the 'recently added' column at the Add books page.

I'm seeing everything in your catalog (looking at "All collections" on "Your books") here: https://www.librarything.com/catalog/WendyFraser1965/allcollections, sorted by the most recent Entry date. Can you see your records?

I added 6 books today to the database and I can clearly see them there but they are not coming up on the TinyCat tab at all. I am going to continue adding several hundred books to the database and hope that the link gets fixed. It sounds like I am not the only one so may not need a fix at my end.
