On Sunday evening, BBC Radio 3 broadcast a performance of All's Well That Ends Well By William Shakespeare. This is available, online, for 7 days after performance - see the Radio 3 Group Page for more details.

Shakespeare's play, which opens in France at the estate of the Countess of Rousillon, tells of the extraordinary lengths a young woman will go to to win the hand of the young man she loves. Helena, a waiting woman and ward of the Countess, has set her sights on Bertram, the Countess's son.

Thanks, Antimusak! Glad I checked this group this morning. I might have missed it. I have read all of Shakespeare's plays now except for one: Henry the Eighth and a couple of his long poems.

Shoot, I missed it. I would have loved to heard it. One of our summer shows were doing this year will be All's Well and it would have been a nice refresher.

It was a treat to sit back with my "All's Well" propped up on my stomach and follow along. I got to see where a director/dramaturg(?) made decisions to cut the dialogue. An excellent production and acting.
