I'm placing my star, Rebecca. I'm looking forward to see where your mystery reading takes you. Have you tried Elizabeth George yet. I think you'd like her Inspector Lynley crime/mystery series.

Thanks Paul, Eliz. Dan,Colleen, and Jane. I have read the Lynley series starting way back in the 80s or whenever they first came out. I liked them all except the last one which I thought was bloated.

>9 rebeccanyc: I've only just started the Lynley series, Rebecca, so I have a long way to go before I get to that bloated one. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the others.

Hi Rebecca--I hope you are feeling well. I mostly lurked on your thread last year, and neglected my own thread, but this year I hope to do better and to comment once in a while. Best wishes for the New Year!

Hello again, Rebecca! As I'm always looking for great mysteries (as if I didn't have enough series going already), I will be following your reading with much interest.

1. A Long Shadow by Charles Todd

Another Ian Rutledge in which, among other mysteries, he investigates someone who apparently wants to kill him.

Hey, Rebecca, I just want to mention that the latest Helen Dunmore, Exposure, is one of her best, if you feel you are up for it. I think I've read 7 of her novels, and I think I'd rate it as my #2, after The Siege.

I see you have Graham Greene in your "Currently reading". I know you have read several of his books in the past. I'll be interested in your thoughts on this one which I haven't read as yet. He has such a wide range.

Lois reminded me you liked some of Helen Dunmore's books Rebecca, although the article confirms some sad news, she writes also about her new book (yes, it did just trip into my shopping cart!).
