I'm just wondering if there's anyone who can offer me some advice/help with some new audio books that I've just bought. They were MP-3 CDs, listed as being suitable for transferring on to any MP-3 player - which was just what I thought I wanted. Having got them here, the first one plays fine on my computer in Windows media player but says that it can only be ripped to I-Tunes and then transferred to player that way - my Sony MP-3 player only works with Windows Media Player. Is there any other way of transferring it that anyone would know of? I was really hoping to be able to listen to these on my walk home from work, as opposed to just when I'm at home.

That doesn't sound right to me? I use Jet Audio software to rip each disk as a single track (War and Peace would be WP01, etc.) rather than deal with lots of tiny files.

If they are "data CDs containing mp3 files", then opening the cd in windows explorer may show the mp3 files, which you migt be able to drag and drop onto the MP3 player, when it is plugged into the computer

Thanks for the suggestions I'll see if I can follow up on those with any joy - I'm a little disgruntled as I've never had this problem with discs I've bought before and I've just bought about six of the same type and so I'm presumably going to have this problem with them all. One of them when I look in Windows Media Player doesn't even show the tracks in the right order so I'm going to have to go through and play it one track at a time (it's over 30 hours long so that's going to be a pain).
