At last, a book I really loved. I would never have read it if it had not been recommended here, because the title doesn't really reflect anything about the book, until you have read it and can understand what it means. Excellent read

I have this one on Mount To-Be-Read. Looking forward to it.

Poisonwood Bible

Aside from being about 100 pages too long (and I normally find books way too short), I enjoyed the story. I have an uncle that was a missionary to Africa.

The Poisonwood Bible is one of my very favorite books ever. I've read it dozens of times. The first few times reading it, I would have agreed with it being too long (and I also like looong books). Once they left the village and moved on, I lost interest. It is only in the last few years, since I've become interested and educated in Africa, did I place any value on the last part of the book. In fact, my most recent reading, I got so much out of that part that it felt like it was my first time reading it.
