Okay, so I've become fascinated by this series of supernatural stories based in and around Chicago, with the main character being Merit, the vampire and house Sentinel.

I'm seven books (!) in and can't seem to stop. Anyone else read them or wanna discuss?

Humph. I'd have thought the main character in a vampire book set in Chicago would be Rahm Emanuel.

Every author does have their own take on the vampire mythos. :)

Love love love love this series. Can I say I love them again? Vampires, check. My hometown of Chicago, check. Sarcasm and wit, check. Pop culture references, check.

>4 Jenefertari: I agree, it is an awesome series.
Though I admit to liking a few of the secondary characters more than Ethan and Merit. Lindsay and Margo are fun. So is Berna.

Oh and adore that Mallory calls Ethan -- Darth Sullivan.

Darth Sullivan is awesome.

I can't believe that the next book is the last. :( Too many of my urban fantasy/sci fi series have ended in the last couple of years.

Huh! I just started this series... lots of fun and enjoyable.

I like the take on vamps & supers - so far. :)
Very easy read.

>6 Jenefertari: I have 12; is that it?

I will have to check this out. I also like the Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa and Sunwalker by S. T. Sanchez

In the same universe, Ms. Neill has started a new series called Heirs of Chicagoland. The first is on my to be read list. Anyone read these yet?
