Who rules the roost in your house? My husband doesn't want to believe it, but he's apparently way down at like gamma/delta status LOL.

Nushie thinks she's queen bee around here, but, she doesn't fight me. I think I must be "mom"; she often doesn't listen for more than a few seconds, but she doesn't put up a fuss at me when I direct her. E.g. at feeding time, when she is a hideous beast who sits there waiting to lunge and snatch at the food while I am dishing it out, I can shove her back to her designated safe zone where she can't snatch anything, and she usually won't stay put long but she doesn't fight me about my moving her. However, if my husband is in the kitchen and tries helping out by holding her back, she will start biting/swatting at his hands if he doesn't let her creep forward! She essentially treats him how she treats the kitten, lmao. The same happened when he tried to take her off my lap recently when I was "stuck" because she and Lexi were both on me and laying on my arms too lol, so he went to lift her away and she bit his hands and then settled back in, hahahaha. So clearly, I am worthy of some respect, while Hubs is to be scolded when he misbehaves. XD

Anyone else have 2-legged household members ranked below the 4-legged? :P

My husband is the one who gives treats and canned food so he is the God of Plenty. I, on the other hand, only give affection (and dry food AND clean the litter box!), which, as you know, cats sometimes need and sometimes disdain. Therefore, I am occasionally useful, sometimes appreciated but ultimately dispensable.

Hahaha! She seems to drop at his feet more than mine (for lovins) and she acts much cuter when he holds her (though that may be because his arms are much bigger and give her more surface haha), but I do feed them (they only get canned, no kibble allowed in this house), and we both do the boxes. :P
