Shakespeare Historical Fiction

I recently found a bunch of young adult historical fiction either revolving around Shakespearean plays Ariel by Grace Tiffany, Romeo's Ex by Lisa Fiedler as examples; or about Shakespeare and his theater King of Shadows by Susan Cooper, The Shakespeare Stealer by Gary Blackwood and such.

I've only read the latter two, but I was completely hooked. I thought King of Shadows was completely amazing. I'm not a scholar, so I can't really say how accurate it was, but I enjoyed it very much. It gave a whole 'nother spin on the plays.

I really love reading books like this, so I was wondering: what are your favorites?

I've read a lot of what I consider bad ones--but I AM a scholar, and so inaccuracies added to poor writing are a killer for me.

My Father Had a Daughter by Grace Tiffany was OK.

Mrs. Shakespeare by Robert Nye was truly dreadful.

Nothing Like the Sun by Anthony Burgess is a classic, but I wasn't too fond of it.

The Book of Air and Shadows by Michael Gruber was good (but I don't really care for mysteries).

I recently purchased Interred With Their Bones, though it's still sitting in my ever growing TBR pile. Has anyone else read it?

Faye Kellerman's The Quality of Mercy was rather good, as is Erica Jong's Serenissima, both, as the titles imply, referencing The Merchant of Venice.

And, no, I do not know what the problem is with author touchstones!
